On the Island - Tracey Garvis-Graves This is a fantastic book. Realistic, entertaining and romantic. I loved that the romance came later, after the reader has already had a chance to get to know them. I was extremely invested in them and wanted them to have a HEA. As readers, we watched them lean on each other, celebrate small victories and make a life for themselves under the most stressful conditions. The story is told from alternating 1st person povs and is so well written that there aren't any slow spots or any points where the events come across as unbelievable or sensational. Nothing is gratuitous or is made to feel like nonsense filler. Absolutely fantastic book.
